About Us

Mike was raised in Reno, NV getting his Bachelor's in Science in Hotel Management from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. He continued his education at DePaul and the University of Illinois Chicago which led to his CPA credentials in 2005. Michael also became a Member of the Illinois CPA Society and American Institute of CPAs.​

Michael joined the firm in 2001 after a career in hotel management in Las Vegas that led to his passion for accounting. He has lived in Deerfield with his wife, Brooke, and kids, Justin and Tyler since joining.

​

Jacqueline graduated from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities with a BS Degree in Kinesiology with a minor in Music, and Piano. She earned her Enrolled Agent credentials in December 2023.

​

Jacqueline is a Minnesota native that now lives in Chicago with her husband August, and kids, Alivia and Alexandra, as well as a fur baby Bella.

​

Jacqueline joined the firm in 2018 after starting a family and needing a more stable schedule from her previous careers as a piano teacher and freelance bookkeeper.

​

Lynn is dedicated to her role as founder, administrator, and advocate of the firm's values and mission. She and Bob have built a multi-generational family business built on meaningful relationships with clients through the years.

Lauren graduated from the University of Illinois in 2002. She continued her accounting education at the University of Illinois Chicago and earned her Enrolled Agent Credentials in 2011.

Lauren has worked at Gassman & Associates since she was old enough to type. Lauren and her husband Michael and her kids Ben and Lily live in Deerfield. 

Bary received his Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Indiana University in 1992. He later earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Illinois Chicago’s John Marshall Law School in 1996.

Bary then embarked on his legal career focusing on civil and commercial litigation. He has resolved hundreds of disputes on behalf of his legal clients, and currently operates his own law firm in Chicago.

Bary joined Gassman & Associates in 2022, striking a balance between tax preparation and his legal work. Having spent his career in small law firms, he understands the value of meaningful and trusting relationships with clients.

Linn has helped create a positive and cheerful work environment. She is an integral part of the family and business. Linn helps the most during our busiest season to help us keep organized and on schedule.
